Obituary
Ralph W. Wilson Jr. passed away on October 10, 2023 at the age of 86 in Raymore, Missouri. He was born June 13, 1937 to Ralph W. Wilson Sr. and Marie R. Wilson in Kansas City, Kansas. He is preceded in death by his brother Marion Wilson and survived by brothers Bob Wilson and Jim Wilson.
Ralph was a KCMO Police Officer for 26 years and worked many years at his uncle’s garage, Wilson Auto. After retirement he worked 14 years for Hallmark Cards in security and 9 years for Bass Pro Shops in security and loss prevention. He served in the Army and was stationed in Korea. He was known for hard work, always fixing things and taking care of his family.
He is survived by his wife Mary T. Wilson; his daughter’s Maryjane O’Halloran (Shawn), Melinda Owens (Paul); grandchildren Kimberly Page (Drew), Kevin O’Halloran (Alissa), Katie Compagnone (Nate), Rachel Snodgrass (James) and Ethan Owens (Kayla); great grandchildren Skylar, Milo, Jack, Luca and Nico.
Services to be held at Langsford Funeral Home, 115 S.W. 3rd Street, Lee’s Summit, MO 64063. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm with services following at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Pleasant Hill, MO.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 7023 Merrifield, VA 2216-7023.
