Rose Marie Hand

Obituary

Rose M. Hand, 66, of Blue Springs, MO died Tuesday, February 8, 2022 in her home.  Rose was a special person to everyone that had the good fortune of knowing her. She cared deeply for everyone and she would let you know how much via a phone call, text, Facebook post or just a nice, old fashioned note. She was an amazing cook who always challenged herself to make something new.  If you ever were lucky enough to have a bite, you knew she rarely missed.  Rose was an incredibly hard worker, devoting time to a few companies in Kansas City throughout her life, never giving anything less than her best or breaking until the work was right. Above all else, Rose was a mother and a grandmother. Her care and compassion for others was only exceeded by that of her three boys, their wives and her six grandchildren. Their happiness truly made her life complete.  Rose is survived by her boyfriend Mark Cooley, three children, Nicholas Mossie (Shannon), Matthew Mossie (Katherine), and Jonathan Mossie (Linda); six grandchildren; and brothers Bill Hand, Charles Hand, and George Hand.Services will include visitation at Langsford Funeral home, February 13 from 12-2 pm. A memorial mass will be held at Our Lady of Presentation on February 14 at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St Jude for cancer research.  Burial in Calvary Cemetery, Miles City, Montana.

I worked with Rose at Marion Labs (and successor companies). I remember well her quiet competence, sense of humor and kindness to others. She always brought so many positive attributes to any team of which she was a part. What a wonderful colleague, person and friend. My sincere sympathy and prayers to her family, of which she was always so proud. She was a blessing to all who knew her. May she enjoy worshiping her savior face-to-face.

God Bless,

Brian Jackson

ROSE
Like her name, she was a beautiful person. Rose was my friend, but more than that, she was my daughter’s mother-in-law. I knew she would become my daughter’s 2nd mother because of her warmth, her kindness, her understanding, her acceptance of others, and strength. Rose, be in peace. Know you have given your family and friends the best gifts by being ROSE! We love you and you will be missed.

Nick, Matt, and Jon, I cannot begin to express my sorrow when I heard of your Mother’s passing. She was always kind and sincere to all and will be terribly missed. May the Lord comfort and protect her soul and may she rest in eternal peace.
May God bless you all during this most difficult time.
Bill and Kathy Mossie

To the Family & friends of Rose Marie Hand
Rose was my neighbor for several years. I cannot imagine having a kinder, generous and considerate person to live next door to. Roses smile and laugh helped smooth out the rough times in everyday life. Always a good listener, ready with helpful actions and thoughts, knowing her was a gift. Her spirit and friendship will remain in my thoughts and heart for all of my days. My sincerest condolences to her family, friends and loved ones.

To the family and friends of Rose,
We were so very saddened to learn of Rose’s passing. Rose was a bright spot in our business for the thee years she was with us – first as a contractor and then as our Lead HR Coordinator. She worked hard, always had a kind word and a perpetual smile. Her presence will be greatly missed. Your family has been and will continue to be in our prayers. Please accept our heartfelt sympathies.
Sincerely,
Sarah Zilliox – Sr Director Human Resources

My heart and prayers are with Mark and the rest of Roses family! I only met Rose once when I was serving her and Mark and you can just tell how much of a sweet soul she was! Now she’s in heaven watching over all her loved ones and I’m sure she’s cooking for all the loved ones she reunited with up there! Rest In Peace Rose

I loved having Rose as my next door neighbor. I liked her so much. She was always so pleasant and friendly. I will miss her. I am so sad I didn’t know about her service. Wishing her family and close friends God’s blessings of peace and comfort.
