Obituary

Sandra Christina Diemler of Lee’s Summit, Missouri passed away on June 2nd, 2022 at Kansas City Hospice House after her hard-fought battle with cancer.  She was 75 years old. Sandy was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother.

Sandy was born in Olympia, Washington on July 23rd, 1946 to parents Roy Lee & Christina Molly Case.  Her father Roy was in the Air Force which took the Case family, consisting of Christina, Sandy, and her three brothers, Roy, Dennis, and Tom, from Washington to Nevada and eventually to Missouri, where her father retired from the Air Force and took a position as a guard at the Missouri State Penitentiary in Jefferson City, MO.  It was in Jefferson City where Sandy met her husband, Iven Jerome Diemler.  They were married on October 2nd, 1965 & had celebrated 52 years of marriage before Iven’s passing on April 1st, 2017.

Sandy was a loving wife to Iven, a caring mother to three boys, sons Keith, Christopher, and Jeffrey, and grandmother to Henry and Lucy.  She was a member of Our Lady of Presentation Catholic Church & was a long-time employee of Wendy’s and the Hy-Vee Supermarket in Lee’s Summit, Missouri.  Like her husband, Sandy was a true fan of the University of Missouri football and basketball teams.

Sandy is preceded in death by her parents, Roy Lee Case and Christina Molly Case, her brother Roy Case, her husband Iven Diemler, and son Christopher Diemler.

Sandy is survived by brothers Dennis Case and Tom Case, son Keith Diemler, son Jeffrey Diemler and son-in-law Brian Allen; daughter-in-law Claire Diemler, grandson Henry Diemler, and granddaughter Lucy Diemler.

Graveside services will be on Monday, June 20th at Lee’s Summit Historical Cemetery at ten o’clock in the morning.  Flower arrangements can be sent to Lee’s Summit Historical Cemetery: 806 SE 3rd Street, Lee’s Summit, MO 64
