Sandra Kay “Sandy” Fockler, 80, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri passed away at her home on November 2, 2025.
Sandy was born February 20, 1945 to Fred Dale and Lola Marie (Pryor) Mitchell in Bradford, Illinois. Fred and Lola moved their family to Windsor, Missouri when Sandy was about six months old. Sandy was an executive secretary at the Western Electric plant in Lee’s Summit. She was a member of the Executive Women’s International Organization for over twenty years. For about thirty years Phillip and Sandy enjoyed spending time at their lake house they purchased from Sandy’s parents near Climax Springs, Missouri. Sandy spent time knitting small items for friends and family and in later years took up painting.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Phillip; and her brothers Dwain and Ted Mitchell; she is survived by her son Lance and his wife Julie, as well as four nieces and a nephew.
Sandy loved Lance’s daily visits with his dogs, her “grand-dogs”, especially Scrappy Doo and she will deeply missed.

Lance,
So sorry for your loss – – your Mom was a great neighbor. We had lots of fun nights together playing Bunco and visiting. Our heart felt sympathy!
Lance please reach out to us if we can help in any way….this was some hard news to hear as she meant so much to us….Aunt Sandra will be missed but our memories of her giving, loving and always extending a loving welcoming arm and we always got a hug on our departure….Lance we are so sorry to hear this but we are blessed to have had Aunt Sandra in our lives.
We are totally shocked at Sandy’s passing. We haven’t visited for some time. We have fun memories with Phillip and her. Many condolences to Lance and Julie.
Lance and Julie,
So sorry to hear of your Mom’s death. She was a life long friend and we were raised together in Windsor, MO. She was always so much fun to be around and I will miss her. Sending my deepest sympathy with love and prayers.
Lance, we are heartbroken at the sad news about Sandy. We have you in our prayers and so sad for you & Julie. Your folks meant the world to us and were our dearest friends since the 1960’s. We had so much fun going to dances, out to eat, time at the lake and all our Christmas get together’s. I treasure the blankets your mom gave me and, the last time I saw her, she gave me a framed needlepoint cat she had made. She knew I loved cats. We will miss her terribly, as we have your Dad. Please know we are here for you if you ever need us for anything. Blessings.m
So sorry to hear of Sandy’s passing. She was a good neighbor and we have many memories of garage sales and Bunko parties.
I remember Sandra with fondness. I was a close friend of her sister/in-law Faron and knew Elmer and David’s Fockler, Phillips parent
