Obituary

Sandra “Posy” Trefz, age 77 formerly of Lake Lotawana, Missouri, passed away February 20th, 2020. Memorial services will be Wednesday, February 26th at 11am at Langsford Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10am and a celebration of life following the services. Posy was born May 10th, 1942, in Kansas City, Missouri. She was married to her loving husband for 57 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She taught ceramics and painting in her younger years and eventually become a nail technician who owned her own nail salon and spent many hours with clients she adored. Posy loved bringing family together and celebrating with food, fun, and laughter. Sunday dinners were a main stay. Posy loved animals of all kinds and was known to rescue any kind of animal that needed help. Her favorites were Larry the raccoon and Billy the cardinal who often times traveled to work with her.

Posy was preceded in death by her parents Frances and Carl and brother, Danny. She is survived by husband Martin “Sonny” Trefz, two children Chris Gabel (wife Joy), Kelly Pfefferkorn, six grandchildren Ryan and Katlyn Pfefferkorn, Catherine, Cameron, Caden, and Caleigh Gabel, brothers Carl Beer (wife Pat), Mike McMillin (wife Susie), Patrick McMillin (wife Freda), Randy Beer (wife Marian), Daryl Beer, sister Pam Setter (husband Mike), Uncles, Bill and Jack Reid and Aunt, Joy Fansler, many cousins including Ronnie and Gary Beer, Audrey King and two cats LuLu and Boo.

Memorial contributions can be made to KC Pet Project Kansas City or Lake Lotawana Beautification Committee.
