Sara was blessed with the gift of music. At an early age she played violin in church and learned the piano.  After graduating from Notre Damede Sion, she attended Avila College where she majored in Piano Performance and Music Education. She taught piano, voice, and violin from her Lee’s Summit home for many years. When moving to Hawaii she became the Music Teacher at Mililani I’ke Elementary where she created the Mililani I’ke Singers and Strings. In her tenure there she touched thousands of lives; many of whom continue playing—violin especially. There she was also once pronounced Teacher of The Year. She continues to be much loved by staff, parents, and students. It was there in Hawaii that she began her twelve year battle with cancer. When moving to Austin, Texas she continued playing violin and piano. Playing with her husband Donn at open mics and churches, and recordings.  She also began working at The American Cancer Society. She would take her violin to work and bless her fellow workers there with her music. She was also named employee of the month several times.Sara’s favorite composer was Beethoven, especially his Ninth Symphony. But she embraced all music from Beethoven before and beyond; from the Beatles to Led Zeppelin; with U2 being her favorite. But for all her accomplishments and love of music, her greatest accomplishment and love in life is her sons: Andrew, Jonathan, and Christopher along with her wonderful daughter-in-law Neysa, and her grandson Oliver.

Sara is proceeded in death by her mother Barbara E. Langsford and two sisters Susan Cox and Sally Langsford.

She is survived by her husband Donn Paige, sons Andrew Paige, Jonathan Paige (Neysa) and Christopher Paige, grandson Oliver, Her father Buck Langsford (Wanda), 2 sisters Sandy Langsford Cox (Brad) and Stephanie Propst (Ted) and a large extended family.

I had the wonderful pleasure of working with Sara at the American Cancer Society. She embodied grace and light to anyone who encountered her, and she will be missed.

I first met Sara when her lilting violin music filled the employee recognition celebration at the American Cancer Society in 2014. Pure magic! And as I worked with Sara over the following year, pure grace and love! She touched so many lives—memories of her will bless us forever.
My deepest sympathies to those she loved so much, especially her devoted husband, Donn.

I was blessed to go to high school with Sara. She was a wonderful friend who could always make me laugh. I remember comparing sunburns in our hotel room on out senior trip to Mexico! We had such a great time. I am so very sad to know she has left the earth but am over joyed that she is reaping the fruits of her earthly labor and now living her perfect happiness with God.
May she and all the faithfully departed rest in Gods perfect mercy.

Donn, so sorry for your loss. We remember Sarah singing and playing the keyboard many years ago at our house in Kaneohe.
Take care.
A Hui Hou

I am so sorry for the loss of your mother. Prayers for peace and comfort as you go through this incredibly difficult time.
With sympathy.

Dear Paige family and extended Langford family, I am deeply sad to hear of Sara’s passing. Her music was a gift to all.

Sara and I sang together throughout high school at Sion. When we reconnected several years ago, it was our shared love of music that brought us together again.. I think she was one of the few people that understood what a thrill it was for me to sing Beethoven’s Missa Solemnis. And now she is singing, and playing the violin and piano, with a heavenly choir.

I met her shortly after getting hired at ACS. She always shared her warm smile. Like the beauty of her smile, her light can never be extinguished. Sending thoughts and prayers of healing and peace.

All my love and light to you and your family as you travel through this new phase of your life. Sara will always be with you, guiding you and encouraging you and loving you all.

You are in my heart

Much love and aloha…Sandra

Andrew –

I am so sad for your loss. I hope your pain subsides soon and is replaced with memories of all of the great moments she has shared with you. Susan and I will be thinking of you and your family.

Love, Bob
