Obituary

Sharon Sue (Kunzweiler) Doane, 86, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, passed away on February 26, 2026.

Sharon is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Elmer L Doane.   She leaves behind her three sons, Ken Doane (Cheri), Keith Doane (Karen), and Eric Doane (Julie), 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Sharon lived a life centered on family, dedication, and simple joys. She worked for many years in the business offices of multiple medical facilities, where she was known for her strong work ethic, reliability, and warm spirit. Her contributions behind the scenes helped countless patients and healthcare teams throughout her career.

Above all else, Sharon cherished her family. She was a loving and devoted mother to her sons: She took great pride in her family, especially grandkids and treasured the time they spent together.

She graduated from East High School in 1958 and was married to Elmer on June 12^th, 1958.

Sharon found happiness in life’s special moments — relaxing days at the lake, memorable cruises, and gatherings filled with laughter and love. Whether traveling or simply enjoying time at home, she created lasting memories for those around her.

She will be remembered for her kindness, steady presence, and the deep love she had for her family. Her legacy lives on in the lives of her sons and all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 3^rd, 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. with a service to follow at 11:00 a.m. at Langsford Funeral Home, 115 SW 3^rd St., Lee’s Summit, MO.  Graveside Service immediately following at Floral Hills Cemetery, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64133.  The family suggest donations to Three Rivers Hospice in Lieu of flowers.
