Obituary
Sharon Turley Wathen was born on April 28, 1956, in Trenton, MO to Robert H. Turley and Melba M. Turley. She grew up on the family farm and attended Harrison County R-4 High School in Gilman City. She participated in many high school sports and activities. Having lived in many areas of the country, after the birth of her son, Skyler Wathen, she moved to Mexico, MO. She lived and worked in the Mexico area for 17 years including the Audrain County Assessor’s office and the Mexico Arthur Center. Later in life she moved to Lee’s Summit to be closer to her son who always had her unwavering support in any of his endeavors.
She is survived by her son, Skyler (Jessica) and her sister, Robin Turley.

I remember Sharon fondly and will never forget when my Mother brought her to visit us in Rochester, New York. She was a happy young girl and full of life. I have missed her over the years and hate losing a first cousin. I also remember how happy she was at Skyler and Jessica’s wedding! God be with you Skyler. Jessica and Robin and know she is with God! The weight of sorrow settled upon my heart when the news reached me and as I grappled with the waves of emotion, a solitary black crow alighted by my side, a silent companion in my grief. In its presence, I sent my heartfelt prayers, a whispered farewell to a kindred soul.
