Obituary

Steven “Steve” Diecidue, 63, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2026.

Steve was born on August 23, 1962, and lived a life defined by kindness, loyalty, and love for his family and friends. He built a career as an electrician, a profession in which he took great pride, and also worked as a draftsman. He was known for his strong work ethic, willingness to help others, and ability to make everyone feel welcome.

Above all, Steve was devoted to his family. He treasured time spent with his loved ones and embraced the many relatives he gained through marriage as his own. His generous heart, dependable nature, and quiet strength touched countless lives. Those who knew Steve often shared the same sentiment: he was a true friend—someone you could always count on.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Doris Jean Miller Diecidue and Saverio J. Diecidue.

He is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Donnealia Diecidue; his son, Ryan England; his cherished grandson, Oliver England; his brother, Ned Diecidue; his sister, Mari Maasen; and a host of beloved extended family members whom he was blessed to gain through marriage, along with many dear friends who will miss him deeply.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 24, 2026, beginning at 4:30 p.m., followed by a Catholic Funeral Mass at 5:30 p.m., at St. Robert Bellarmine Parish, 4313 SW State Route 7, Blue Springs, MO 64014. A dinner and time of fellowship will immediately follow the Mass at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial contributions be made to John Knox Hospice in Steve’s memory, honoring the compassionate care and support they provided during his final days.

Steve’s kindness, steadfast friendship, and unconditional love for his family will be remembered always. His legacy lives on in the many lives he touched and the countless memories shared by those who loved him.
