Obituary

Sydney Lawrence Gable, 63, of Lee’s Summit, MO, passed away July 5, 2021 at the Lake of the Ozarks.

Sydney was born November 7, 1957 in Aberdeen, SD. He was a member of the Bad River Chippewa Tribe. He served proudly in the United States Navy. He then went to Alaska and fished for many years. He latter moved to Sioux Falls, SD. and stayed there with the passing of his mother, Delores Buchholtz. He moved to Coos Bay, Oregon and stayed there for many years. Finally, he moved to Lee’s Summit, MO, to live with his sister, Francine and her husband Mark. He was close to his brothers Frank E J. Different Cloud and James B. Gable so they could visit often.

He is preceded in death by his father, Francis Joseph Gable and Deloris Buchholtz. Survivors include son, Brandon Rhodes, Daughter, Kathrina Rhodes, sister, Francine Sinnett, Brothers, Frank E.J. Different Cloud, James B. Gable and Glenn Dashner and various cousins in Wisconsin.

Funeral will be 1:30 PM, Friday, July 16, 2021 at Langsford Funeral Home, 115 SW 3rd, Lee’s Summit, MO 64063. Graveside will follow the service at 3:00 PM at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, MO.
