Obituary
Tyler Gooding, 25 of Pleasant Hill, MO will have a visitation Saturday March 13, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Grace United Methodist Church, Lee’s Summit, MO. The family suggest memorials be made in Tyler’s memory to Grace United Methodist Church.
Tyler was an enterprising and outgoing 25-year-old who had an infectious energy that you could feel when he walked in the room. He was encouraging, he was a motivator and he was selfless.
One of Tyler’s greatest strengths was asking questions. Not just “How have you been?” or “How can I help?” – which you could count on each time you saw him – but questions about how and why things in our world work. He was an ambitious thinker and problem solver that challenged the status quo.
He was a talented musician, an outdoorsman, adventurer and an animal lover. He had a tireless work ethic and was always working on figuring something out or building value for his family and friends. Tyler never stopped. He lived his life passionately and enthusiastically, almost as if he knew he had limited time and he was taken from us too early and unjustly.
Tyler is preceded in death by his grandfather Harold Gooding, Jr., and his grandmother Evonne Stenberg.
Survivors include his parents Mike and Rachael Gooding, his brother Logan Gooding, his sister Emma Gooding, and Shady. His grandparents Ruth Ann Striegel and Eric Gentry, Phil and Linda Stenberg, Ginger Stenberg and Betty Gooding. He is also survived by a large extended family.

Mike and Rachael and family,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I can’t imagine losing a child and in such a way. Rachael was my daughter Laurie Wilkinson’s first and third grade teacher and one of her favorites (and mine). You all have been in our thoughts and prayers.
In deepest sympathy 💐
