Obituary
Vincent “Vince” L. Randle, 87, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, passed into eternal life on Monday, June 29, 2026, surrounded throughout his final days by the constant love, prayers, and presence of his family.
Born on October 29, 1938, in Kansas City, Missouri, to George and Meda Randle, he developed a strong work ethic at age 16 when he began working after school at A&P Grocery Store. He later held several summer jobs before joining Bendix Aviation (now Honeywell).
A graduate of Southeast High School, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Central Missouri State College (now the University of Central Missouri) on May 23, 1962, and was a member of the Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity. He immediately enlisted in the United States Navy and honorably served aboard the USS Forrestal (CV-59), an experience that remained a lifelong source of pride.
He built a career as a Senior Buyer with Western Electric (later AT&T and Lucent Technologies), where he worked for 30 years before retiring. He returned to the workforce and eventually retired a second time from Thales ATM.
A lifelong sports enthusiast, he enjoyed football, baseball, golf, handball, and NASCAR. An avid fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals, he proudly held Chiefs season tickets for nearly 60 years. He also loved boating, military aircraft—especially airshows and flyovers—and classic cars, particularly his first car, a 1950 Mercury.
He cherished his wife, Vicki, their 44 years of marriage, and the life they built together. A devoted father, he took great pride in providing for his family. He will be remembered for his lifelong Catholic faith, his practical nature, and his dry sense of humor. Whether cheering on the Chiefs from the stands at Arrowhead Stadium or cooking his mother’s brisket for holiday gatherings, he loved bringing family and friends together. Those closest to him will forever treasure his signature saying, “Know what? You bet!”
Preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ronald Randle, he is survived by his beloved wife, Vicki Randle; his daughters, Laura Randle-Farrell, Carie Randle, and Tera Haywood; his stepsons, Larry McCoy, Shawn McCoy, and Eric McCoy; 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and his brother, Norman Randle.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 10, 2026, at Langsford Funeral Home in Lee’s Summit. Visitation will take place from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial with military honors will follow at Floral Hills East Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes memorial contributions to Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Lee’s Summit or Kansas City Hospice House.

So sorry to hear about Vince. What an amazing man. Mark and I always enjoyed his company along with Vicki. He was so full of life and always so funny and kind. What a wonderful life he lived and so many who loved him. It was a blessing knowing Vince and Vicki and he will always be remembered as the truly loving, kind man he was. Prayers for all the family.
May you gather comfort from each other and treasure each moment you had with this wonderful man. Thoughts and prayers are with you all during this this difficult time.
Grandpa Vince was one of a kind! I will never forget the large Thanksgiving gatherings at his house or the days on the lake, where he taught me how to ski! I’ll always picture him smiling with a miller lite cheering on the Chiefs! Rest in peace, Grandpa
