Obituary
Virginia Lee Corn (Gudde), 100, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri passed away on August 12, 2023, at KC Hospice House. Visitation will be held at the Langsford Funeral Home 115 SW 3rd Street, Lee’s Summit, Missouri 64063 Thursday August 17, 2023, from 6 to 8 PM. Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Presentation Catholic Church Friday, August 18, 2023, 130 NW Murray Road, Lee’s Summit, Missouri 64081 at 10 AM. Burial on Floral Hills East Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Little Sisters of the Poor or to the Saint Joseph Guild.
Virginia was born on December 19, 1922, in Holden, Missouri. Virginia was married to Robert Ray (Pop) Corn on August 12, 1948. When Virginia passed away it would have been their 75th wedding anniversary. Both Virginia and Ray attended many tea dances and they loved to dance. She was an avid bingo player, a member of the Saint Joseph Guild, as well as a member of Our Lady of Presentation Catholic Church. Virginia retired from Lake City Army Ammunition Plant after 19 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ray, both of her parents, 1 brother, 4 sisters, Grandson Zachary Corn, and Great Grandson Brooks Corn. Survivors are her 6-children Robert L. Corn and Patrick L. Corn both of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, Michael R. Corn, and Timothy M. Corn both of Grain Valley, Missouri, Mark L. Corn of Abilene, Kansas, and Alisa A. Corn of Lee’s Summit Missouri. 10-Grandchildren, and 19-Great Grandchildren. Langsford Funeral Home- 816-524-3700

A very special person in my life. I so enjoyed being in her presence but mostly being a part of our “Sister Act” each year at the OLP talent show.
I remember Virginia when they used to come to Holden for family reunion. She was sure nice.
