Obituary
Walter Edward Raining, born November 21, 1952, left this world on September 25, 2023, surrounded by family and friends.
He leaves behind his mother, Fay; 2 sisters Lonnie and Kathy (Lawrence); 2 nieces Jennifer (James) and Michelle (Bryan) and great nieces and nephews.
Diabetes became a part of him as a toddler and became a constant part of his life. Graduating from Shawnee Mission West in 1971, he continued his education at JCCO and Pittsburg State, graduating with degrees in computer programming and business administration.
Over the years Wally enjoyed fishing for crappie and bass. Along the way he became interested in collecting Arbogast Lures. He and his mother traveled to conventions where he became known as the ‘Jittterbug’ man.
Eventually, time and complications from diabetes caught up with him. He entered hospice last week. He will be missed for his sense of humor and his strong will to live.

I was fortunate enough to have worked alongside Wally for several years at Argus Health Systems. I remember him as a quiet, gentle soul with a unique sense of humor. He will be greatly missed. Rest in peace Wally. My deepest condolences go out to his family.
