She was involved in the Santa Fe Trail Doll Club, Soldier’s Angels and was a devoted member to her church family. Most recently, she knitted loads of hats for underprivileged children. She loved to travel and to watch or listen to the Royals and eat ice cream. Wilberta is preceded in death by mother, Virginia Downing; father, Ben Downing; and twin brother, Billy.
