Wilda Irene Nevels, 87, of Lexington, MO passed away May 9, 2021
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, May 16, 2021 at Langsford Funeral Home, 115 SW 3rd, Lee’s Summit, MO.
Wilda was born December 15, 1933 in Adrian, MO, to Otha and Lois Moles. She was one of 11 siblings. She graduated from Adrian High School in Adrian, MO. Wilda was married to David Horne, Sr. and had 4 children. Later in life she married her current husband, James Nevels of Lexington, MO. Through out her career she worked many years at GMC and as a hostess. Wilda loved spending time with her family and loving husband, shopping, going to the beach and cooking elaborate meals, as well as her Kansas City Chiefs.
Survivors include her husband, James Nevels, sister, Katheryn Barton, 4 children; Rick and Mary Horne, David Horne, Jr., Gail Harrell, Victor and Corina Horne and additional children, Shelli and Allen Weitkamp and Brenda and David Cox. Wilda had 16 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great- grandchildren.
She was an amazing wife, mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
