Alan Jay Hershberger of Smithville, MO tragically passed away on July 31, 2022. Alan was a loyal and caring person and the world will forever miss him.He was preceeded in death by his parents, John and Suzanne Hershberger.
A Memorial Service will be held at Langsford Funeral Home in Lee’s Summit on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at 4:00p.m. with the Visitation one hour prior.
A second Memorial Service will be held at 1:00p.m. on Thursday, August 11, 2022 at Holdenville 1st Baptist Church 324 N. Broadway, Holdenville, OK. 74848

Toni, it was such a blessing to meet more of Alan’s family and discover that faded memories had not robbed me of the special place Alan held in my heart. It was joy to finally know that the Alan I knew was the same as the one everyone else knew and loved.
I don’t know who I would be had I never met him but I know that I would not be who I am. For that, I am eternally grateful.
I would like to extend my condolences to the family of Alan. I worked alongside with him when he was in Leavenworth, Kansas. He was a great officer and always had a positive attitude. He was always ready to help out whenever and whatever it was. Rest Easy Alan…
