Obituary

Amy Suzanne Kapp, 44, of Lee’s Summit, MO passed away January 29, 2019 at St. Joseph Hospital. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at First Baptist Church of Lee’s Summit, 2 NE Douglas St., Lee’s Summit, MO 64063, from 6-7pm. Services will follow at 7pm. Burial at Lee’s Summit Historical Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, MO.

Amy was born May 13, 1974 in Independence, MO. Amy’s relationship with her Lord and Savior grew as she coped with her illness. Sixteen years battling CNSV, she never lost sight of the grace of God. Her testimony was God is GOOD. Amy never felt sorry for herself or complained. Her only regret was she could no longer share her musical talent by singing and playing her beloved violin.

Amy’s family and friends were her main concern. She relished in the role as aunt to Bradley, Josefin, and Seth. While her illness limited her activities, Amy enjoyed cheering for the Chiefs and Royals and attending games, when her health allowed. Some of her hobbies included reading, gardening, and tending to her two precious cats.

Amy is preceded in death by her fathers, Robert Kapp and James Willis. Survivors include her mother, Marsha Kapp Willis; brothers, Matthew Kapp, David Willis, and Jasen Willis; beloved niece, Josefin Rachel Schubel-Kapp; beloved nephews, Bradley Craig Kapp and Seth Willis; aunts, uncles, and cousins.
