Obituary
Mrs. Angela Lorraine Thurman Kite (51) of Lee’s Summit, Missouri passed peacefully on July 29th, 2023.
Angie was born to ElRoy and Carla Thurman on January 30th, 1972, in Bonne Terre, Missouri. She met the love of her life, Tom, in 7th grade. They dated in high school and were married in 1994. This March they celebrated their 29th wedding anniversary.
Angie was so proud of her career of over 28 years in accounting. She and Tom loved to travel, Disney, watch the Chiefs, go to the Plaza, and spend time with their families. Together they spoiled their nieces and nephews like they were their own. They also have two fur babies named Lilly and Willie who are dear to their hearts.
Angie was fiercely loyal to her friends and family. Her loyalty shined through her spunky personality, which was paired with the most caring heart. She loved Broadway musicals, shopping, and anything designer. She had a sweet tooth like no other, often leading to a QT sweet tea or a Little Debbie cake.
Angie is preceded in death by her father ElRoy Thurman Jr, niece Mia Hasty, nephew Elijah Hasty, Mother-in-Law Carolyn Kite, grandparents Leo and Nancy Ives and Rev. Elroy and Virginia Thurman, Sr.,
She is survived by her husband Thomas Kite, Mother Carla Thurman, Sister and Brother in Law Marsha and Jeff Hasty, Nephew Emmitt Hasty and fiancé Kelly Ruda, Niece and Nephew Carleigh and Jakob Stillwell, Niece Delaney Hasty, Brother and Sister in Law Terry and Joann Kite, Sister in Law Lisa Kite, Niece Kaela Kite, Uncle and Aunt Randy and Lisa Charles, cousins Mark and Jenee Helein, cousin Chris Wallen, Uncle and Aunt Neal and Vivian Ives, Uncle and Aunt Gary and Donna Hedrick, Aunt Brenda Davis, Uncle and Aunt Robert and Ginger Thurman, Uncle and Aunt Jimmy and Connie Thurman, and numerous cousins, family, and friends.

My sincere condolences on the passing of Angela. I have never met the family in person but enjoyed so much seeing the beautiful photos on FB of the family. I am the first cousin to El Roy Sr. I have been blessed in watching the blessing of each of you on FB. Angela was truly a beautiful lady. Wish so much I would have met her. My prayers are with ea one of the family, Tom her husband and also especially Carla her mother. God bless you as you all go thru this very hard time.
