Bud and Betty were a constant at school events, Mizzou functions, and Republican meetings statewide. They attended Veterinary conventions for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Janice Anne Neill. She is survived by her husband; 5 kids, and their spouses; ten grandkids; eleven great grandkids; and her niece Carol Anne Neill.

Doc we are so sad to hear this. Betty was a sweet lady. Always had a smile and was kind to everyone. Prayers for peace and comfort for you and your beautiful family.
Bud and family, There could never be enough words to describe what a wonderful, precious person Betty is, but all of you already know that. Her warmth and love of Christ just flowed from her beautiful smile and spirit. She was one of my first friends at FBCLS and I will forever miss her saying “ Hi, Shirley!” to me as it was our private joke. We are so saddened by her leaving us but we have not ‘lost’ her, we know EXACTLY where she is and heaven is rejoicing by gaining this beautiful, Godly woman. Our verses in our Bible study group today, ( the one she has been with for years) were perfect as we remembered our sweet friend, Betty. Love and comfort to all her family, she loved you all so much. ??
So sorry for your family’s loss.
I am so very sorry for your loss. Betty was a beam light to all around her.
My heart goes out to the family as you grieve the loss of this wonderful woman. Betty taught me to bake perfect chocolate chip cookies and put up with a lot of teasing from those rowdy boys, including Bud, back in the day. She will continue to be an inspiration as you exchange wonderful memories as time goes by. Much love.
So sorry to hear of her passing. She was such a loving and caring lady.
My heart is breaking for you all. Betty was such a joy to be around—a reflection of Jesus, full of love and light and her own sparkle. So many were blessed by her life. Thank you, Lord, for such a beautiful servant. So sorry, we will not be home to celebrate her life at her memorial service but know you’re in our prayers. Love, Leila and Steve Effertz
I was on the state 4-H foundation board w/ Bud for 14 yrs and always enjoyed visiting with Betty when she came to meetings w/ him. I have seen & visited w/ both of them for over forty years at veterinary meetings. She was truly a gem and she contributed so much to her family to make them who the are.
She will be missed by all.
I will miss seeing Betty at our historical meetings and get pleasant smile. Always loved talking to her. Sorry for your loss
Our condolences to Kristie and David’s family. We are so sorry. May God Bless and comfort all of you.
We were so sad to hear of your loss – Betty was such an asset to our profession and a welcoming presence at all those “veterinary conventions”. Our thoughts and love go to you and your family.

This note comes to you from Ames, Iowa, with the deepest sympathy regarding the loss of Betty. Distance will preclude our presence at the services, however, we will be there in spirt. Betty’s active support and mentorship, especially with Veterinary Medical Associations, will be acutely missed but she left a wonderful model to emulate.
