Obituary

Carolyn McElroy, 80 of Belton, Missouri passed away Saturday May 7, 2022.

Carolyn was born December 15, 1941 in Pattonsburg, MO to Russell and Ruth Miller.

She is preceded in death by her husband Everett Frasier, 2 brother Jim Miller and Dale Miller.

Survivors include her husband Jerry McElroy, 2 sons, Everett Frasier III and Joe (Shari) Frasier, 4 step children, 6 grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren and her sister Beverly Bryant.

Carolyn was a sister to her siblings, for whom she always made time. She was a daughter to her mother and a man named Joe, who loved her every day of their lives. She was a mother, supporting her sons with everything she had, no matter how old they were. She was a grandmother loving her grandkids with all of her being, always taking time for them, whenever they needed it. Carolyn was and continued to be a huge Elvis fan! She had several of his records, and other memorabilia. Carolyn also loved going to the lake, enjoying boat rides when her kids were younger, then again when the grandkids came along. She inspired a fondness for card and board games in the family, teaching many to play pitch, golf, and many other games. She also enjoyed playing croquet at family dinners if family was with her. She loved to cook and was always willing to make food for anyone who visited. That love of cooking spilled over to all the family dinners that she loved so much, cooking her famous noodles and chocolate dessert, along with all her other spectacular foods. Carolyn always wanted family around, willing to have any family member stay over, if they needed a place to stay or just wanted to come and visit. She was always the one who hosted Thanksgiving, then Christmas for many years, then was just able to do Christmas, but always looked forward to hosting these holidays, to spend time with family and friends. Even though it seems she’s gone, the truth is she is with us every day. She is and always will be dearly loved, and never forgotten.

Have always been thankful to Carolyn for loving her daughter in law, Shari (my daughter) as her own. Enjoyed playing cards with the family and Carolyn having fun winning like she usually did. 😊 She always made awesome meals and so loved entertaining family & friends. We miss her smile and laughter. Wish you could have stayed longer. 🙏🏻
