Goodbye to a long friend starting in high school. Many good memories. Dave will be missed

Dave and I met before he transferred to Northeast H.S. but once he was there I don’t think a day went by that we did not see each other, play sports, work on old cars and have some great times together. He is and will be–missed.

Dave was a good friend. H was kind hearted and thoughtful. Glad I got to know him better after graduation from high school.

I cared for David at JKV Care Center and I absolutely loved him. He was such a bright light to be around and he sure will be missed by many. I am so sorry for the families loss during this time.

He was such a joy to be around at jkv. So friendly and sweet. Will truly be missed. Prayers for the family.

Mike,

I am so sad to hear of David’s passing. I lived next door to him while we were growing up and I always thought of him as a little brother, although he was actually my cousin. He had a very gentle heart and was always thoughtful of everyone around him. His last few years were not very happy ones after he suffered that stroke. You and your family were his bright light and I know he loved all of you dearly. I will always remember David with great fondness.

As a young man, Dave was literally my dad away from dad when I moved to KCMO and befriended Mike in 3rd grade. So many memories of Royals games, Raytown Little League and summertime hangouts. Got lucky when Mike moved to Texas a couple of years ago and now we’re literally about 12 miles apart. It a long way to go to say I love you Dave and I’m so glad I had the experience of knowing you and being important in your life. Condolences to Mike, Ian and Jennifer.
