Obituary
Donald Lee Cook, 82, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on Monday, February 11, 2019 at the Missouri State Veteran’s Home in Warrensburg, Missouri. A Mass is scheduled for 10:00 AM on Friday, February 15, 2019 at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church in Kansas City, Missouri. Visitation will be one hour prior to the Mass. Inurnment will be at the Missouri State Veteran’s Cemetery in Higginsville, Missouri at 2:00 PM. Memorials are suggested to the church.
Donald was born on April 27, 1936 in Kansas City, Kansas. He was an over the road truck driver for Roadway and earlier in his working life was a WEB pressman for the Kansas City Star newspaper. He was an active member at St. Regis Catholic Church in South Kansa City. He also liked to trout fish and watch the KC Chiefs.
Donald was preceded in death by his mother, Opal Mae Cook. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Cook of the family home; son, Mike and his wife Linda Cook of Parker, Colorado; daughter, Tammy and her husband Bob Boettner of Colorado Springs, Colorado; grandchildren, Matthew Cook, Rachel Johnson, and Alison Cotter; and 6 great grandchildren.
I read in the k.c.star that donald cook had passed away,and i was wondering if he was the same donald cook that was in the coast guard with me in the mid fifties.i would like to know one if he was thank you
