Obituary

Jack Wayne Jacobs, 85, of Lee’s Summit, MO passed away on May 23, 2019 at St. Luke’s East Hospital. Funeral services will be Thursday, May 30, 2019 at Langsford Funeral Home at 1pm. Burial will take place Saturday, June 1, 2019 at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Golden City, Missouri at 1pm.

Jack was the first born February 25, 1934 in Sarcoxie, Missouri to Loyd and Iva Jacobs.  He grew up in Golden City, Missouri and moved to Kansas City after graduation. He worked as a Project Engineer at IMCO. Jack worshiped and served as a deacon in the Baptist church.

Jack is preceded in death by his grandparents, Clouse and Ada Jacobs; parents, Loyd and Iva; brother, Jim Jacobs; and sisters, Joyce Bruggerman and Judy Bartlett.

Survivors include his daughters, Susan Gates, of Kingsville, MO and Melissa Snider, of Raytown, MO; son, Michael Jacobs, of Lone Jack, MO; step-son, Rick Wasson ,of Lee’s Summit, MO; brother, John Jacobs, Peculiar, MO; 7 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
