I remember Randy from our pre-school days when his dad, “Lloyd”, used to haul water to our family in rural Pleasant Hill, MO. I went to grade school in Strasburg, and Randy went to school in Pleasant Hill. Later we knew each other at Pleasant Hill High School. After school, I served in the Navy and lost track of Randy until the mid-sixties when he came to work at Western Electric Company in Lee’s Summit, where I was already employed in the Trades Organization. Randy came into the electric shop in late ’69 and worked the remainder of his time there except for a few years off roll between ’72 and ’77. Randy was a great guy to work with, and just an all-around great guy in general. He was very dependable, always in a good mood and ready to tackle the task at hand. I remember he was well liked by everyone.
