Obituary

Marie Suzette Bradley (nee LaRose), 60, peacefully passed away on Friday, February 9, 2024 after a 9 year battle with pancreatic cancer. Beloved wife of Dennis Bradley; Loving mother of Elizabeth (Jason) Engelbrecht, Rachel (Evan) Redburn, Stefany Renner, and stepson Daniel (Lauren) Bradley; Loving grandmother of 6; Survived by siblings Jeffrey LaRose, Gail Daetwiler, Denise Sanburn, Jon LaRose, and Joel LaRose. Preceded in death by Stephen and Doris LaRose, and Dayna Bradley.

Marie was a generous, loving soul who will be missed dearly by all who knew her. She will be remembered for a variety of things including, but not limited to:

  • Too many turkeys (or some might say the “correct” number of turkeys) at Thanksgiving
  • Camp outs in the camper and summer days on the boat
  • Secret missions (usually to the toy store) with the grandkids
  • Steaks and shrimp on the grill
  • Her love of a good murder show or true crime book
  • Savoring morning coffee
  • Making cheesecakes (the most treasured dessert at any get-together)
  • Making the mistake of “If I can see it, we can walk to it”
  • Donut and coffee runs on donut day (Sunday)
  • Bonfires and fireworks whenever legal
  • Relaxing beach vacations
  • Trips to more zoos and aquariums than any of us can remember
  • Sneaking extra PB&Js in her children’s lunchboxes for friends at school
  • Listening to The Police in her T-top Camaro with her kids
  • And many, many more..

A visitation will be held at Langsford Funeral Home, 115 S.W. 3rd St., Lee’s Summit, MO 64063 at 2pm on Saturday, February 17, 2024. Memorial service to follow at 3pm.

Liz, Rachel and Stefany,

We were so very sorry to hear of your dear sweet momma’s passing. We had no idea her illness had returned. Please know that we have fond memories of spending time with your momma and the girls as you all grew up together with Abby in Saint James. Our heart breaks for your loss! Your momma was a “one in a million” kind of gal! Such a gentle spirit and a warm smile! We will pray for our Heavenly Father to embrace each of you and your families during this most difficult time! Please accept our heartfelt sympathy!
Love,
Michael and Monica Orlando and Family

Liz, Rachel, & Stephanie, I’m so sorry to hear about your Mom. My heart is breaking for you. It’s been years since we’ve spoken but I kept up with her some on Facebook. We had a lot of good times when you girls were young. She was a sweet lady and will be missed by many.

Hugs and prayers to you and your families,
Debbie

We are so sorry for your loss. Marie was such a sweet, sweet person, gone much too soon. We love you all and are lifting you in prayer for comfort thru this time of sorrow.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Marie in person, as our team has been 100% remote since before she joined us, but I felt I knew Marie from our weekly Zoom meetings and group chat that was always on. Marie never shied away from difficult assignments and was always ready to jump in feet first and lend a helping hand to anyone on our team. She was a dedicated member of the Legal Document Specialist team here at Littler, and I regret that she passed before we could all get together and meet her. Her kindness and sense of humor will be missed. Thinking of her family and missing her already.

The LDS team at Littler is truly heartbroken to learn about Marie’s passing. She was dedicated, hardworking, and kind. We will miss her. Marie will always be part of our team. My condolences to your family.

I just want to send a note to tell you how incredibly sad I am for you. I worked with Marie for more than ten years, and I genuinely cannot think of anyone who was more beloved than she was in all my working years. She was kind, funny, hard-working, and the very definition of a team player. I cry every time I think about her being gone, and I was just a coworker. I can’t imagine how all of you feel. Thank you for sharing her with us. She will be sorely missed and forever loved.

I had the honor and privilege of working with Marie, more recently as a LDS. Our paths crossed in 2019 at Littler where we were both legal secretaries. I was going through some medical issues and she was very supportive, and often reached out to see how I was doing. We were able to share our stories and that brought me a lot of comfort. May you all find peace and comfort in the days ahead. I am sure you have many wonderful memories. Thinking of you all during this difficult time.

I am so glad I was fortunate enough to have known Marie. We were co-workers at the bank in Rolla and became great friends. When we were at any kind of gathering, we invariably became the “loudest” table there……lots of laughs and fun. She was a kind and loving woman and will be greatly missed. Condolences to Dennis and all of her family, especially her daughters and grandkids.

I offer my deepest condolences to Marie’s family and friends. It was a true honor and blessing to work with such a talented, dedicated and kindhearted person. She will be missed beyond words by her colleagues at Littler Mendelson and the LDS team.

My Brother, Dennis and Family!

My heart breaks for you in this huge loss. Please know I am praying for you! I love you my Brother!

This news breaks my heart. Marie was one of the kindest individuals I’ve ever met! All my love to Marie’s family and to Dennis.

My sincerest condolences to the family. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time.

I am so sorry for your loss and to hear this devastating news. I knew and worked with Marie for only a year before moving away, but that year as coworkers left an impression. I will never forget her. She was right next to my office (with her always-full, very tempting candy bowl) and never failed to make me smile, even on a bad day. She had the most beautiful spirit, and I’ve never again worked with such a funny, kind, patient, and hardworking person who could light up the room with her warm smile and laugh. She touched so many of us and will be forever loved by all who knew her.

I’m another member of the Littler family, and Marie was the best. To her core, she was caring and kind. The world is a lesser place with her not in it.

Marie was a kind hearted friend her and Denise. I’ve felt the pain in my heart of the situation talking to Denise. And prayed for a better outcome for her of this horrible disease. My sister died of the same thing. So I know what someone as sweet as she was had to go through. This disease has broken my heart yet again.
