Obituary
Marie Madeline LaPlant passed peacefully into eternal life on November 3, 2022. She was born Marie Madeline Charboneau on November 14, 1924 to the late Euclid and Matilda (Marcotte) Charboneau in Aurora, Kansas. On August 1, 1942 she married George E. LaPlant who proceeded her in death July 11, 1984.
Marie lived a simple life, while George was on the road as a truck driver, she spent her time raising her 8 children and working in diners as a waitress to help support the family. She loved quilting, gardening, canning, cooking, and her family. Later in life, if she wasn’t home, you could find her dropping off food to friends or at her quilting clubs. If she was home, her top priority was ensuring her family was well fed (generally with their Marie favorites) and they felt appreciated.
