Obituary
Mary H. Friend, 75, passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at the home she loved in Raytown, Missouri. Visitation services will be at 9 am on Wednesday, June 17 at Langsford Funeral Home in Lee’s Summit. Following the visitation, she will be buried beside her beloved husband in the veterans Fort Scott National Cemetery in Fort Scott, KS on the same day. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the Kansas City Symphony. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. William J. Friend D.D.S. Mary is survived by her family, including two sons and two granddaughters.

Both Byron and I will miss Mary’s chipper voice and never ending good spirits. Both she and Doc were the best of neighbors here at the lake. So sorry for your loss.
As other active KCSA members Georgia and I had the pleasure of meeting and working with Mary on numerous occasions. When there was a job to be done she would jump right in and usually work harder than many others to see that the project was well done.
We and our organization will miss her happy, can do, approach to the jobs she took on.

I met Mary at the Symphony Designer Showhouse. She was a joy to volunteer with, sharing stories about our grandchildren. I know how much she loved her life and looked forward to spring and the gardening. MY SHE REST IN PEACE. I know you have many fond memories, that will help you through your loss.
