Obituary

Patsy Parks, known to friends as “Pat,” passed away on March 13, 2018, at the age of 82 years.

Pat will be forever remembered by her daughter Terry Johnson, grandchildren Steffanie Baker (Jason), and Chris Johnson (Amy). She will also be lovingly remembered by her three great grandchildren, Katie, Tucker and Emma, her sisters, extended family and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Jeff.

Pat was born in 1935, in Macksville, KS to Lyndon and Faye (Youtsey) Slingerland. She was one of 6 sisters Billy, Bonnie, Betty, Cherryl, and Sondra. Living in Larned, Kansas, Pat married Jeff Parks in 1952. They lived and worked in several cities before settling in Lee’s Summit.
Pat was young at heart and adored children. She loved her cat, talking to people, eating at restaurants, celebrating holidays and spending time with friends and family. Pat was a hard worker who applied her talents to the roles of bookkeeper, business owner and homemaker.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 15, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Langsford Funeral Home, 115 SW 3rd St, Lee’s Summit, MO. The funeral service will take place on Friday, March 16, 2018 at 10 am at Langsford Funeral Home followed by a graveside service at the Orient Cemetery in Harrisonville, MO. Memorial donations in memory of Pat can be made to Abundant Life Baptist Church, 414 SW Persels Rd, Lee’s Summit, MO 64081.
