Obituary

Savanna Evelyn Churchill passed away at the age of 20 on Tuesday August 22, 2023. Savanna was born on November 22, 2002 in Liberty, MO with an agenda in her hand and graduated from Liberty North High School in 2021. Savanna recently achieved her associates degree and was to start her pre-med studies as a student at Rockhurst University this semester. Savanna had worked at Walmart Pharmacy and had just been certified as a Pharmacy Technician and was so excited to continue her path into becoming a doctor. She had so much to offer in such a short amount of time.

Savanna’s family and friends will always remember her for her kind heart and her love for animals. She was the one who always made others laugh with her goofy personality. Savanna was the brightest light this world has ever had to offer.

Savanna was always up for an adventure any day and enjoyed long drives with her friends or family in her car, Andy. Every weekend she would get together with her mom, they would go to Dunkin and get their usual to start their day just to run and do errands for a few hours. They also enjoyed their weekly On the Border lunches.

Savanna’s favorite things to do were to hike, take long walks with her dogs who she loved as if they were her kids and just enjoying the small things about life. She dreamed of living in a big city and becoming a city girl. She enjoyed every foot rub her boyfriend would give her and would brag about it to everyone. She loved “spilling the tea” with her best friend and her sisters. She loved so hard and cared so much. She will be remembered for her Bright Light, Laugh and Loving Nature to every person that she

Encountered.

Savanna is survived by her mother Jodi Fechtelkotter; her father Kevin Churchill; sisters Felicity Steines, Zada Churchill, brother Christopher Churchill; her niece Journi Churchill; soul sister and best friend Lexie Graves; her fiancé Nathan Jacob; and her beloved pets Atlas, Zeus, Rhea and Leo. She is also survived by her grandparents Gary and Marty Mair; Kevin and Mary Fechtelkotter, John and Eve Churchill; and numerous loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, Savanna’s family requests that donations be made in Savanna’s honor to the KC Pet Project where she rescued all four of her beloved pets. https://donate.kcpetproject.org/SavannaChurchillMemorialFund

It is with great sadness we have to have our last conversation this way… You had a great personality and wonderful outlook on life even in troubling times.. I remember our talks and my encouraging you to move to Pharmacy Dept.
You always had a friendly smile and was always ready to help when needed. I guess it was to a greater place you were needed most… we can all be reminded when it is your time you are called, sometimes in very strange circumstances…. You earned your wings, now you can fly faster to those in need!!!

. Savanna was such a sweet girl – our condolences to all of the family . Carolyn and the Patch family

Jodi… I feel more sorrow than I can express. But I know that you will be alright because you know the Lord. Please just know that I am praying for you. I can’t imagine how I would feel. It sounds so flat to say something like that, like everyone says the same thing. But I truly mean it. You know that I hope. It will get better, you’ll always feel her with you. You two were close and close you will always be. You will see her again one day. Until then you have to put up with the rest of us. We’ll keep ya going. Love you, girl. ❤️🙏🏻

savanna was such a kind soul, i was so lucky i got to be a girl with her, even if it was for afew years

I dont even know what i could possibly say… savanna was a really good friend of mine when i was in elementary and middle school. She was such an amazing person and i wish i had gotten the chance to continue growing with her as a friend. No words can describe how sorry i am. I wish i could of been there to celebrate her life and to remember all the good times with her. Im so sorry… she will never be forgotten and will be loved forever.

Savanna & I went to preschool – all the way up together. We weren’t ever the bestest of friends, but I’m thinking of her all the same.
She is so loved and I’m so deeply sorry. I’m constantly thinking of her and her entire family. hugs.

I will miss you so much I wish I could have met you and hug you and go to the beach with you I will miss you every single day

Love your sister Alivia

Thank you Savanna for helping my son and giving him the gift of Robin his very much beloved cat who has gotten him through some tough times. He spoke of how kind a friend that you were to him. I have read so much about what a kind person you were, I know you are watching those you loved
