I golfed with Bill frequently over the last few years and got to know him well. He was a man of great faith and admirable integrity and a fun person to be around. He could also out-golf most of us who were a generation younger! Bill will be sorely missed and I offer my deepest sympathies to those who were dear to him.

Mr. Dugan. I will dearly miss you. Growing up in the same neighborhood as you raised your family you always welcomed the neighborhood kids to your house. Judy, Sharon and Laurie, your dad was always someone I looked forward to seeing when I came to church functions. Always a smile and glad to see me. Brings back a lot of memories growing up. Getting to know Bill later in life gave me insight to just what a great man and friend he was. A true blessing in my life. I know he is watching over all of us and especially the girls. I will keep you all in my prayers, with the hopes of meeting again in a better place.

I am very sorry for your loss. I knew Bill through the Tuesday and Thursday golf groups. I always enjoyed being paired with Bill and considered him my lucky charm because he was my cart partner when I made my hole in one. He was the first to call it and we had a good celebration. He will be missed but we treasure the memories.

I’m so sorry I’m a few months late in looking for him. I so wanted to thank him and express my gratitude in person. Bill changed my life. He gave me a chance when it was unpopular to promote a young man of color to an executive staff position, 1977 at Western Electric. God bless his soul. I owe him my entire career.
