The Amaro Family

So sad and sorry to hear of the passing of Will. I recently had the privilege of getting to know Will during his bowling at Lee’s Summit Lanes with his classmates. I always looked forward to his bright smile, contagious spirit for life and his unforgettable sense of humor. He teased well and we had such fun joking about scores and haircuts. He has left a lasting impression in my heart of such a fine young man. May he rest in peace.

My condolences…my heart goes out to all his sister, parents and the rest of his family. I didn’t know Will personally but heard about what happened on social media. I can’t imagine the pain you are all going through, I felt heart broken as a Mom! I hope you all find peace soon. My condolences again.

My heart aches for you Adam, Sydney and all of your family as you maneuver through the sorrow of losing your precious Will.
I’m lifting up prayers of comfort.
With love,

The loss is immense for me and even greater for his family. I consider all of my students as my kids. Will was a special one for me. Although, not a stellar student in the traditional sense, he was one of the brightest students I have ever had. He did not like traditional school work. We found ways to have his talents and interests shine in
other ways in class (easy to do with him). Will had an affinity for everything mechanical. He was in my principles of engineering class this past year and that kid could build and figure things out like none other. He did not quit until he figured the problem at hand out (I know, I had him in my room during advisory, before and after school many, many days because he loved the work so much) He definitely kept me on my toes to try and challenge him beyond what others were willing to do. He had a super sense of humor and one of the kindest, sweetest students I know. I still can’t believe this world lost such potential. He will be missed. My thoughts are with his family as they try to navigate life without him.

Felisha and family so sorry to hear of your loss,
Your in our thoughts and prayers during this heart breaking time.

Mike and family: Kathy and I were so sorry to hear about this tragedy. You were one of our neighborhood children. Much love and prayers!

I was Will’s art teacher at PLE and every year that went by, I loved him more. He’d always ask me if he was my favorite and I always said, “I can’t tell you that!” And he’d say, “I knew it!”. I can’t relate to your loss and there are no words. But I will never ever forget Will and his humor and sweet smile. Sending all the love I have and praying for just a tiny sliver of peace as you are reading through these messages.
