Obituary
Donna Jean Evans 1957-2024
Donna Jean Evans (Rich) was born July 16, 1957, and passed away in the early morning of December 29, 2024. Donna passed in the presence of her husband, Wilbert (Bill) Arthur Evans III and their three children, Schona Marie Eagleburger, Kyle Arthur Evans and Nicholas Rich Evans. Donna is survived by her above-mentioned family as well as her elder brothers, Jack Rich and Mike Rich and her six Grandchildren Wyatt, Carsten and Ainsley Eagleburger, Cooper Evans, Valentine & Cruz Evans.
Donna was born at St. Lukes in Kansas City, MO on July 16, 1957, to Don and Elenora (Stayton) Rich. She grew up in Kansas City as a Daddy’s girl before marrying her soulmate, Bill on February 11, 1977, at Christ the King Catholic Church.
It took seconds for Donna to get to know someone and even less time for her to brighten their day. This was prevalent as she worked as a Veterinary Receptionist for over 40+ years. Her smile, her dimples and all, would turn anyone’s rainy day into a week of sunshine.
Donna will always be remembered for her kindness, selflessness and the way she loved ALL. She will be missed every day, and her memory will live on with those that loved her!
A visitation service has been scheduled for Thursday, January 9, 2025, from 6pm-8pm at Langsford Funeral Home, 115 SW Third Street, Lee’s Summit, MO 64063. A funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of The Presentation Catholic Church on Friday, January 10, 2025, at 10:00 am, 130 NW Murray Road, Lee’s Summit, MO 64081.

Michael, Donna, Jack, Bill and family, Cary and I send our deepest sympathy in your loss of such a special person. We had the pleasure of meeting her and she was someone you just never forget. Her kindness, thoughtfulness and her sense of humor where just a few of the qualities we remember the most. She will so missed.
Anyone who knew her was certainly blessed. Our thoughts and prayers are with your whole family.
Love, Cary and Linda Wells
I am so sorry for the loss of Donna. She was a very special person and I am going to miss knowing that she is no longer in this world. I loved having her as a neighbor and friend while living in Blue Springs. I am so sorry, my thoughts and prayers are with you and the kids & grandkids. My love to all, Charlie
To know Donna is to love her. Our hearts are broken for Bill and the kids. We were all cheering for the move of the house and the happiness she was looking forward to. It’s so unfair that she misses that. Only God knows why. We are so sorry. You are in our prayers.
My family sends our heartfelt sympathy.
Schona-I am so sorry for your loss. Loosing someone close to you, expecially a parent, is a horrible experience. Prayers to your family during this difficult time.
Audrey
Thoughts and prayers are with Bill and the family! Donna was such a fun loving person! Always enjoyed the times we got together! Until we meet again my friend! May God bless and comfort those she left behind!
I so sorry for Donna’s family and friends.
Donna was a wonderful friend of mine for over 22 years. We had alot of fun working together. I will miss our adventures together so much. Prayers for all of us that are here without her.
Our Condolences to family and friends. We will miss our Cousin Donna, she was such a beautiful soul. Donna was the glue of the family after all of our elders have passed. She loved the history and legacy of the Stayton family. Lord bless and keep her in your arms. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
I’m sorry to hear that Donna passed away. Wish her the best up in heaven and may she rest in peace.
Oh miss Donna, not sure how we will do this world without you. 28 years of love and friendship. I would love to hear your voice and see your eyes sparkle one more time. Our hearts are broken, sending strength and love to her family and everyone that knew her because if you have met her, well you already knew the heartache we are having. Thanks for the memory’s and all the journeys our group went on, I will love you forever.
No words can express my sympathy for the loss of a true Saint among flesh. Hugs to Bill, her kids, her grandkids, and her pups.
Her priority was to take care of everyone and brighten their day; she had a profound impact on everyone she crossed paths with.
She is truly missed!
My heart aches for all of us who loved you
You savid me. We met because of history. We had the best tim on our Saturday adventure. I love youy sweet friend..
Mike and I have known Bill and Donna for over 40 years. Donna was a bright light, she always had a big smile and a kind word for everyone. She didn’t sweat the small stuff and accepted people, and animals, for who they were. I always admired that. Her children and grandchildren were very important to her and she adored her husband. She will be missed!
For the 10+ years we have been going to Lakewood Animal Hospital, Donna was our go to girl. She loved “Maddie” & “Abby”, our girl dogs, as much as we did. She was always so happy to see us, regardless of the situation. If we needed to make an appointment, we always tried to make it on a day when she was working. She will truly be missed, but we are sure she is in a better place. So, until we meet again Donna, “woof, woof, woof”. 💐🌹❤️🌹💐
On December 29, Heaven gained a special Angel. Unfortunately, friends and family lost a wonderful and unique individual. I’ve known Donna for about 25 years. First as a receptionist at Blue Springs AH and then at Lakewood Animal Health Center. She was always cheerful and helpful. On my calls, I always looked forward to chatting with her, whether it was about KC team dog tags or moving the family home. My heart goes out to Bill and the family as well as Robin, Brenda, Stacey and Stacy. She’ll be missed.
To Donna’s family I pray for all of the support and love you will need to get through your grief.
I did not get to see or speak to Donna very often anymore and that was hard enough, but to never get to do it again is unfathomable
There are certain people we all meet in our lives that we know are special and we will never forget. Donna Evans was one of those people. Her smile and her laugh were so warm and inviting.
Instead of being the blithering idiot in the pews I will grieve from home.
Thank you Lord for letting me meet Donna Evans. Please bless her family and friends through their loss, Amen.
Such sad news, Donna was always just the best. We have seen her at Lakewood for 11 years and she was always smiling and just a sweet heart. Prayers to her family as they navigate through life. They should always remember how much of a difference she made in everyone’s life that walked through that door. She will be missed.
My heart ♥️ goes out to you all! Great memories with Donna growing up she was part of my childhood as well as helping me with my pets at Blue Springs Animal Hospital! Always sweet, kind, helpful and loving. Prayers and hugs to all! Words can’t express how sorry 😢
Dear Kyle, Ana, and family. Adam and I send our sympathies in the passing of your beautiful mother, Donna. We did not have the honor of knowing her personally, however her legacy lives on in Kyle, our brother-in-law, whom is an extraordinary wonderful person. May Donna rest in peace.
Love Carol and Adam

Kyle, I am sure your mother is in a better place, where is no more suffering and no more pain. Hugs!
God bless you all .
Donna touched all of our lives.
Donna, it’s now been 2 months since you passed away and gone home to our Lord. I know your family along with others are deeply missing you. I can only imagine how they must be missing you each in their own way. I always knew you with such a positive energy. I also miss you so very much and will always cherish the memories we shared together. Your laughter and kindness will always stay with me. If it wasn’t for you, I wouldn’t have been able to have a last visit with my sister and BFF Lu before she passed away. Today the two of you have brought tears to my eyes that I just can’t hold back. Your mom’s birthday is coming up in 3 days and I know you will love celebrating it with her since you were only 12 years old when she left you. There is so much the two of you have to catch up on. God is the only one who has all the answers, and we must respect him for all that he does and not question him, Cousin, I love you so much and profoundly miss you. Be Blessed and hope to see you one of these days.
